About the Project

Snowy Peak Films captured Lincoln Industries' 20th Platinum Climb, the company's annual employee hike up Colorado's 14,060-ft Mt. Bierstadt, in a 3–5 minute anniversary film and a set of edited photos.

Our Approach:

We built the film around CEO Marc LeBaron, a 20-plus-year climber, and planned two days of coverage to tell the full story.
• Day 1, interviews in Breckenridge. We filmed outdoor interviews in natural light with climbers spanning every stage: 15+ year veterans, 5–10 year regulars, and first-timers.
• Day 2, the climb. Our camera operators split up, one starting with the first group and one with a later group, so we captured the full climb from trailhead to summit.
• GoPros on strong hikers. We handed GoPros to Lincoln Industries' support team to guarantee summit footage from the earliest groups.
• Lightweight kit. Sony FX3 cameras, lavalier mics with wind protection, and minimal batteries kept the crew mobile above treeline.
• Collaborative edit. We delivered a storyline cut, then refined it with the client's feedback, adding more speakers, more summit footage, and the official group climb photo to close the film.
