We animate what a camera can’t show: how a process works, what happens inside your software, the internals of a product, the anatomy behind a procedure. Snowy Peak Films is a Denver animation studio and a live-action production company in one team, so when a story needs both, we build it as one piece instead of handing you between vendors.
Four kinds of animated video production
2D animated explainers
Processes, software and services that are hard to describe in a sentence. Our 2D animation services start with a script that decides what to leave out, then build clean, on-brand visuals around it.
3D product animation
Cutaways, exploded views and the internals a camera can’t reach. Built from your CAD files, so the model matches the real part and modeling time drops.
Medical & healthcare animation
Procedures and devices explained in plain language for patients, with your clinical team reviewing the script and storyboard before anything is animated.
Motion graphics for ads
Titles, animated graphics and fully animated spots for commercials, social and connected TV, delivered in every length and shape the campaign needs.
Use whichever tells the story. Often it’s both.
Animate it when
The value is a process, software or something invisible: data moving, a device working, the inside of a machine. Animation shows exactly what matters and nothing else.
Shoot it when
If your product is physical and photogenic, a live-action product demo usually wins. People trust what they can see in real hands.
Mix them when
You need proof and explanation together: a real technician or customer on camera, with motion graphics or a 3D cutaway showing what’s happening inside. We plan both from the same script.
Six steps, with your approval at each one
Script
We agree on the message and write every line before anything is drawn. It’s the cheapest place to make changes.
Storyboard & style frames
A sketch of every scene, plus a few finished frames that show the look, so you approve the style before animation starts.
Animatic
The storyboard timed to a scratch voiceover. You see the pacing and the length before the detailed work begins.
Animation
2D, 3D or motion graphics built to the approved animatic, with review rounds at agreed points.
Voiceover, music & sound
Voice talent, licensed or original music, sound design and a final mix.
Delivery
Every size you need: widescreen for web and TV, vertical and square for social, plus cutdowns and captioned versions.
Animated explainers start at $5,000.
Length, animation style and the number of revision rounds move it from there. 3D product animation and medical animation are quoted per project, because the model drives the cost, and working from your CAD files brings it down. Tell us what you’re explaining and we’ll scope it with you.

Animation questions
How long does an animated video take?
Most animated videos take 6 to 10 weeks. Animation has more steps than a shoot: style boards, storyboards, a storyboard edit, an animatic edit, a fine cut and the final cut, with your review at each one. Quick feedback is the biggest thing that keeps it on schedule.
How much does animation cost?
Animated explainers start at $5,000. Length, style and revision rounds move it from there. 3D product and medical animation are quoted per project.
2D or 3D, which do I need?
2D suits ideas, processes and software: anything you would explain with a diagram. 3D suits physical products and anatomy, where seeing the object from every angle, or from the inside, is the point. Some pieces use both.
Can you work from our CAD files?
Yes. For 3D product animation, your existing CAD geometry saves significant modeling time and cost, and the model matches the real part.
Can you combine animation with live-action footage?
Yes. We shoot live action too, so we can film your product, people or facility and add animated overlays, cutaways or motion graphics, planned together from the script.
