Denver Public Schools Foundation

About the Project

The Denver Public Schools Foundation raises support for DPS students, educators and schools, and its biggest night is the annual Achieve Gala. DPSF needed videos that could carry real classroom stories into a ballroom full of donors and sponsors, then a polished recap it could share while the night was still fresh.
As its programs grew, DPSF also wanted to show the reach of its Back to Class Bash season, where volunteers and sponsors spruce up schools before the year starts, in one video spanning several days, sites and voices.

Live gala coverage and recaps (2024, 2025 and 2026). A two-person crew covered the Achieve Gala at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center each year, capturing the reception, program, student emcees, performers and sponsor remarks. We delivered an event recap and a B-roll highlight videos turned around a first cut of the recap within a week of the event, layering in student speeches, poetry and the moments guests were still talking about.
