Three years of brand, recruiting and product film across three states

The Challenge

Mesa Solutions builds natural gas generators for oil and gas operators and cryptomining facilities. The company was growing quickly and had no film library to match — nothing to explain the product line to buyers, and nothing to put in front of the technicians it needed to hire. Mesa came to Snowy Peak Films to close that gap.

Our Solution

We have shot for Mesa every year for three years. Production runs across Colorado, Wyoming and Texas — the headquarters, the manufacturing floor, and customer sites where the generators are actually running. Interviews are shot two-camera on an automated slider; the plant and site work is covered handheld and on gimbal, with aerials over the facilities.

How We Made It

Camera & lenses: RED V-Raptor, RED Komodo, XEEN Cine Lenses, DZO Catta Ace Lenses; DJI Inspire 2 and Mavic 3 for aerials
Crew & lighting: Small travelling crew, two-camera interview setup on an automated slider, DJI Ronin RS3 Pro for movement
Schedule & locations: Multiple trips a year across Colorado, Wyoming and Texas — headquarters, plant and customer sites
Deliverables: Several long-form brand and recruiting films a year, plus short social cuts and even a 3D product video

Shot 5K to 8K, with slow motion down to 240 fps for the plant and product sequences.
