Snowy Peak Films provides drone services in Denver and across Colorado with FAA Part 107 certified pilots, and we carry drone insurance. Aerial shots are part of a full production, planned in the same script and shot list as the ground footage, not a standalone drone gig. We handle FAA airspace authorizations and site checks in pre-production, so the shoot day is about the work.
Drone videography for commercials, brand films and events
Commercials & brand films
Reveals, establishing shots and running footage from the air, flown alongside the ground crew. For The McCarthy Companies, one of three crews working at once flew a DJI Inspire 2 for aerials.
Agriculture & land
Fields, ranches and acreage from the air, from agricultural fields in the San Luis Valley and Del Norte to the Front Range.
Events & outdoor locations
Venues and outdoor shoots, including Red Rocks, which we’ve flown several times with permits. For hotels and resorts we fly the property, the grounds and the setting around it as part of our hotel and resort video production.
Indoor flights
Inside motorcycle shops and manufacturing facilities, moving through a space in one continuous shot.

Drone video services in Denver
We fly drone video in Denver for real estate, construction progress, events, commercials and tourism: property aerials, repeat flights that follow a build from start to finish, venues from above, and the establishing shots that open a commercial or a destination film. Our pilots are FAA Part 107 certified, and we carry drone insurance. We fly across the Front Range, from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, with FAA airspace authorization wherever it’s needed.
All over Colorado, with the proper permits
We’ve flown drone videography across Colorado: Red Rocks (several times, with permits), Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley, Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Del Norte and agricultural fields in the San Luis Valley, plus indoors at motorcycle shops and manufacturing facilities. Our aerial cameras include the DJI Inspire 2 and DJI Mavic 3 Cine.

Flying legally in Denver’s airspace
Much of the Denver metro sits in controlled airspace around Denver International Airport, Centennial Airport and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport. Flying there takes FAA authorization, which we request through LAANC or directly from the FAA before the shoot. We also check each site for temporary flight restrictions, crowds and local rules, and get location permits where they’re required.

Aerials are quoted per project.
The drone, the pilot and the airspace authorizations are added to your production’s quote. Location, airspace, flight time and the number of finished pieces move the price. Tell us where you’re shooting and what you need to see, and we’ll scope it with you.
Drone questions
Are your pilots licensed and insured?
Yes. Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificates, the certification the FAA requires for commercial drone work, and we carry drone insurance.
Can you fly near DIA or downtown Denver?
Often, with FAA authorization. Most of the metro is controlled airspace around Denver International, Centennial and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan airports, so we request authorization through LAANC or the FAA before the shoot. Some spots have tighter limits, and we’ll tell you up front what’s possible.
What if the weather is bad?
We don’t fly in rain, snow or high wind. We check the forecast before the shoot and again on site, and if it isn’t safe to fly we’ll set a new time with you.
Do we get the raw footage?
Yes. You own all the footage, including the raw aerial files, and we can deliver it on a drive you provide whenever you ask.
Can you combine aerial with ground footage?
Yes, that’s how we usually work. The pilot is part of the production crew, so aerials and ground footage are planned together and cut into the same piece. On larger shoots we’ve run three crews at once: cinematic b-roll, running footage and aerials.
What’s included in drone videography?
An FAA Part 107 certified pilot and our drone insurance; FAA airspace authorization through LAANC or the FAA where it’s needed; site checks for flight restrictions and any location permits; flying on a professional aerial camera such as the DJI Inspire 2 or DJI Mavic 3 Cine; and the aerials edited into your finished video alongside the ground footage. You own all the footage, raw files included.
